Fashion Feng Shui® International is the fulfillment of what its creator, Evana Maggiore, believes is her life purpose. Evana's mission, to enhance human essence, is supported by her experiences as a fashion retailer and color and image consultant.  Realizing that it was necessary to clothe more than the physical aspects of customers of her chain of women's specialty stores, she decided to approach them from the soul level out. In search of a method that would enable her to connect spirit and style, Evana began her study of personal energy in 1984.

Besides astrology, which she considers a blueprint for personal potential, Evana became proficient in such personality typing systems as the Enneagram, Myers-Briggs and DISC. She also studied many areas of metaphysics, looking for a way to reflect essence in clothing. Eventually, her search led her to Feng Shui. 

In 1996, Evana entered the inaugural class of Western School of Feng Shui's Essential Feng Shui Practitioner Training Program, and in 1997, became one of its first graduates.  It was under the guidance of her teacher and mentor, Terah Kathryn Collins, that Evana recognized that clothing is the body's most intimate environment and that her own work could be easily be interpreted to align with this ancient philosophy. Personal style took on a whole new meaning, and value, when seen through Feng Shui eyes and in 1998, Evana wrote and self-published “Dressing the Whole Person, Nine Ways to Create Harmony & Balance in Your Wardrobe(& Prosperity in Your Life!),” the first book to link fashion and Feng Shui.

Teaming with friend and business associate Louise Elerding in 1999. Evana co-founded the Fashion Feng Shui® Facilitator Professional Training Program to provide certified training to image consultants wishing to innovate and expand their businesses by incorporating Fashion Feng Shui®. The Fashion Feng Shui® International Network of Facilitators, which now include professional image consultants, Feng Shui practitioners, life coaches and holistic health counselors, currently extends throughout the USA, in Mexico, Australia, and Korea and will soon expand to Canada, Europe, South America and Japan.

Together, Louise and Evana built the Fashion Feng Shui® Facilitator Professional Training Program, co-authored a workbook, “Formulas for Dressing the Whole Person,” developed a line of Fashion Feng Shui® products,and became internationally recognized authorities on the art of dressing with Feng Shui. They made personal appearances at bookstores and retail shops; consulted with and presented Fashion Feng Shui® seminars to clients across the USA; were speakers at several annual conferences, of both the Association of Image Consultants International and the Feng Shui community; and even coordinated and hosted the world's first Fashion Feng Shui® Fashion Show at the Feng Shui 2004 International Conference.

In May 2004, Louise and Evana dissolved their rewarding and fun, five year partnership so that Louise could concentrate on marketing her successful children's book, You've Got Manners and Evana established and became president of Fashion Feng Shui® International LLC, Fashion Feng Shui®'s parent company. Its mission is to cultivate the Fashion Feng Shui® Facilitator Professional Training Program, create and distribute Fashion Feng Shui® support products, and communicate the benefits of synchronizing spirit, style and surroundings to individuals, organizations and corporations worldwide.
