Evana
Maggiore is a Professional Image Consultant and Feng Shui Practitioner.
The former owner of three Massachusetts-based Evana Clothing Shops,
she became a certified Color and Image Analyst in 1982. After closing her stores
in 1989, she converted her retail business to private wardrobe and fashion services.
In 1996, Evana expanded her consulting business to include Feng Shui. One of
the first graduates of, and a Mentor for, feng shui expert and author Terah
Kathryn Collins' Western
School of Feng Shui in San Diego, CA, Evana innovatively combined
both her areas of expertise to create the concept of Fashion Feng Shui.
Her 1998 book, “Dressing the Whole Person, Nine Ways
to Create Harmony & Balance in Your Wardrobe & Prosperity
in Your Life!” is the first publication to connect the Five Elements
of Feng Shui to Fashion and Personal Style.
In 1999, teaming with friend and business associate Louise
Elerding, she established the world's first Fashion
Feng Shui® Facilitator Professional Training Program. This holistic
approach to personal development has been embraced by the international Image
Industry, which presented Evana with their prestigious “IMMIE Award” (Image
Makers' Merit of Industry Excellence) in the category of Innovation as well as
the Feng Shui community, who offered Fashion Feng Shui®
as a course of study at their most recent International
Feng Shui Conference.
Besides counseling personal and corporate clients how to "dress
their whole person"
with Fashion Feng Shui®, Evana also offers residential
and business Feng Shui Evaluations through her Boston-area firm, Essential
Environments. Specializing in "image-conscious" people
and businesses, Evana's clients include the real estate, fashion, retail
and wellness industries.
In 2002, Evana became a certified trainer for Creative
Wellness, a holistic stress management/wellness program. Based on
25 years of mind-body connection research, Creative Wellness classifies
individuals according to endocrine personality type and recommends lifestyle
choices (nutrition & exercise), behavior modification (affirmations & meditation) and
natural supports (color, gemstone and aroma therapies) to prevent and
alleviate stress, the #1 cause of dis-ease.
Evana, a Certified Image Professional (CIP), is a Charter Member
and past international Vice-President of Member Communications of the Association
of Image Consultants International (AICI) as well as a member of The
Fashion Group International and International
Feng Shui Guild. She sits on the Advisory Board of The
Marino Centers for Progressive Health, a pioneer of integrative
medicine in the Boston area.
In 2001 Evana established the Love Yourself Project (LY!P) at Rosie's
Place, a Boston based shelter, and resource center for homeless
and poor women. Designed to introduce holistic therapies to the underprivileged,
the LY!P sponsors educational and experiential activities that pamper the
mind, body and spirit.
An intuitive practitioner, entertaining speaker, inspiring teacher,
and community leader, Evana consults and presents internationally. |
